Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and SuperCala LLC ("SuperCala," "we," "us"), operator of MeetCute at meetcute.supercala.ai. By creating an account or using MeetCute, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. MeetCute is a dating service; users under 18 are prohibited. We verify your age against the date of birth you provide and will suspend any account found to be under 18.
2. What MeetCute does
MeetCute matches users algorithmically on a deep personality and preferences questionnaire rather than on a swipeable photo feed. To enter the match pool you must (1) complete demographics and confirm you're 18+, (2) complete the questionnaire, (3) take three required photos live in the browser, and (4) add a payment method. There is no upfront or onboarding charge — your card is only charged the per-meeting fee when you confirm a meeting (see Fees). You may also upload up to five additional photos from your device; each is automatically reviewed before publication.
Once in the pool, our system scores compatibility between you and other users using your questionnaire responses, embeddings of your open-ended narrative answers, and your stated demographic preferences (age, gender, orientation, distance, and dealbreakers). Photos are not an input to your compatibility score. When both sides of a candidate pair clear their respective compatibility thresholds, the match is created and each user can see the other's photos and a plain-English summary of why the matcher thinks you fit. Our system then proposes a meeting at a public venue; both users must confirm and pay the per-meeting fee for the meeting to be locked in.
You will not see other users in the pool — there is no browse, no swipe, and no in-app messaging. After a meeting, each user may independently choose to exchange contact information or walk away.
3. Fees
- No upfront fee: joining the match pool is free. You add a payment method when you join, but it is not charged at that time.
- Per-introduction fee: $35 per user for a first meeting with a new match, charged to your payment method on file when you confirm. The meeting is confirmed once both sides have confirmed and been charged. Once you've met someone, any further meetings we help arrange between the two of you are free — you already have each other's details, so there's nothing to unlock.
Fees are processed by Stripe. Per-meeting fees are refunded in full if MeetCute cancels the meeting (including for safety reasons), or if either side declines before the meeting is locked in. If you cancel a meeting you paid for, a refund may be issued at our discretion depending on timing; contact hello@meetcute.supercala.ai as early as possible.
4. Your content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you provide (answers, preferences, feedback). You grant SuperCala a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content for the purpose of operating MeetCute — matching, meeting coordination, safety review, and calibration of the matching algorithm. We do not train generative AI models on your personal data and we do not sell your data.
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, age, gender, marital status, or any other material attribute
- Impersonate another person
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users before, during, or after a meeting
- Use MeetCute for commercial solicitation
- Attempt to circumvent our matching system, payment system, or privacy protections
We may suspend or terminate your account for any conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably determine is harmful to other users.
5. Meetings and safety
Meetings arranged through MeetCute occur in public venues and are between independent adults. SuperCala is not responsible for the conduct of users before, during, or after a meeting. We recommend meeting in well-trafficked public places, telling a friend where you're going, and leaving immediately if you feel unsafe. Report any incident to local authorities first, then to us at safety@supercala.ai — or via the post-meeting feedback form, which has a dedicated "report a safety or conduct issue" section.
After a meeting you may block the other user to prevent any future matches between you. Blocks are one-way on your end; the blocked user is not notified.
6. Account termination
You may pause matching at any time from your settings, which stops new meetings being arranged without cancelling existing ones. You may delete your account entirely by emailing privacy@supercala.ai. On deletion we remove your profile from the match pool immediately and delete or de-identify your personal data according to our Data Retention Policy. Payment records and safety reports are retained as described there.
7. Disclaimers and limits on liability
MeetCute is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee you will match with anyone or that matches will lead to successful relationships. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SuperCala's total liability to you for any claim related to MeetCute is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email and posted here at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
